Extract Competitors\u2019 Organic Keywords<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that you have a list of competitors, it\u2019s time to find their keywords.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You\u2019ll need an SEO tool for this step.<\/strong> (Technically, you could also investigate competitors\u2019 pages manually, but this would be <em>extremely<\/em> time-consuming.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In LowFruits, this process is easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you\u2019re in the <strong>Competition<\/strong> tab we just explored, click the <strong>+<\/strong> button to add a website to your extraction list. I want to see who is ranking for what versus just getting ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you\u2019re ready, click <strong>Extract<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scroll down, and you\u2019ll find the extraction report. Investigate Keyword Gaps<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In this step, you\u2019re going to compare your website\u2019s keywords to those of your competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This process will help you identify <strong>keyword gaps<\/strong> where your competitors are ranking, and you\u2019re not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/semrush.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"Semrush\">Semrush<\/a> is an excellent tool for keyword gap analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To get started, navigate to the <strong>Keyword Gap<\/strong> tab of Semrush.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enter your domain along with your competitors. (You can include up to 4 competitors).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click <strong>Compare, <\/strong>and you\u2019ll get data similar to the image below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a visual person, I like how Semrush uses the <strong>Keyword Overlap<\/strong> diagram to show your performance against competitors.
