Sign Up for Semrush<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don\u2019t already have a Semrush account, you can create one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.semrush.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"Semrush\">here<\/a>. Semrush offers a 7-day free trial that you can cancel at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-search-your-keyword\">2. Search Your Keyword<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you\u2019re logged into your Semrush account, navigate to the <strong>Keyword Overview<\/strong> tab in the left menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, enter your keyword and click <strong>Search<\/strong>. Green is easy, yellow is possible, orange is difficult, and red is hard.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that you have a list of keywords and their difficulties, you could start working on a content strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, if you\u2019re a small business or new website, many of these KDs might be out of your reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure you\u2019re targeting keywords that you can rank for and will bring you traffic, let\u2019s move on to our final step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"how-to-find-low-difficulty-keywords\">How to Find Low-Difficulty Keywords<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At this stage, we\u2019re going to curate our list to only show easy keywords.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ll do this using a <strong>filter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Open the<strong> KD%<\/strong> dropdown menu and select the range you\u2019re interested in. I\u2019m going to apply a custom range to see all keywords with a \u201cvery easy\u201d and \u201ceasy\u201d KD.
