I predicted the possible drop in <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.lowfruits.io\/lowfruits-case-study-site-month-10-first-month-of-earnings\">last month's case study update.<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since barbecue is an all-time favorite holiday activity, I expect a Labor Day spike in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">On the Road to ROI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the past 75 days of monetization, the site has brought in $812.13.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I've invested roughly $5,700 in content and $300 in link building, so the website is slowly starting to recoup the investment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s a marathon, not a sprint, but all the indicators show we\u2019re going in the right direction!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, this month\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">It\u2019s Time to Revisit Old Content!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the rest of the year, <strong>the content plan will focus on:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Keywords that can bring in more traffic&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;Best X for Y&#8221; posts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All to bring in more affiliate revenue to the site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since we're almost at the end of Year 1, I will soon go back to the October 2021 posts to do <strong>a content audit:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How are the posts doing?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do any posts need to be rewritten?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do I need to expand some posts?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Which posts might need to get deleted?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>(For my websites, I like to use <a href=\"https:\/\/ahrefs.com\/blog\/content-audit\/\">the Ahrefs content audit<\/a> as a template.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why You Should Update Your Website\u2019s Content<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>? <strong>Updating your website\u2019s existing content is an underestimated growth opportunity.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If a batch of articles is 9-12 months old, fire up Google Search Console and see how each performs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Duds that missed search intent and aren\u2019t getting any visitors? -&gt; Rewrite or delete.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Articles that rank for terms you didn\u2019t originally think of? -&gt; Expand them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Do this consistently for every batch of articles that matures for 9 to 12 months, and you\u2019ll boost your site\u2019s organic traffic on a budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">LowFruits Tip of the Month<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Have you recently run a report for seed keywords in LowFruits, but you\u2019re not sure which keyword to create content for first?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take a look at <strong>the \u201cClusters\u201d tab.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh4.googleusercontent.com\/PtWIxTLbxFCbZw-NcyjvoQbrH99V__eWOO3eKiMjHt3qYpWpR6AEonAwG5-LVO7RNEvqYzHuwmY0Ysd0dgPFdFJAd21nwdFEu4TlF8TzRMNMYcTpv10EJjw1dxcIk-RW-2oYacfHYgZP8g9NDonkHxPbna_7tDCpkWIIp7yfImp1nnB-4JurE0R3Qg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cClusters\u201d tab groups together the different terms that people use to search for the same thing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>? Create content for the <strong>clusters with the most keywords<\/strong> and <strong>the highest number of low-hanging fruits<\/strong> (apple icons).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What About Year 2 Updates?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Many of you emailed me (<a href=\"mailto:hey@askdim.com\">hey@askdim.com<\/a>) asking <strong>if the case study will continue into the second year<\/strong> and, if so, what my goals for next year are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Honestly?
